A two page flyer in Greek introducing the HP-85.
This brochure describes
the 9915A which is the embedded version of the HP-85.
For more information on the 9915, please look at the HP-9915 Corner.
This brochure describes
the Integral PC, the successor to the Series 80. The Integral PC
is particularly notable because it contains UNIX in ROM. A BASIC
system (largely compatible with the Series 80 BASIC) was also
available as an option. Most of the features of the Integral PC
were improvements over similar features available on the HP-85:
Motorola 68000 processor running at 8MHz, versus the 85's custom
processor, floppy drive versus the tape drive, 80 column inkjet
printer versus the 32 character thermal printer, etc. Both machines
were mains powered luggables. The lunchbox shape and the built-in
handle of the Integral PC made it more compact and transportable
despite the fact that it was heavier than the HP-85 (11.5 Kg versus
9.06 Kg). Unfortunately, users did not like the Integral PC
and it turned out to be an evolutionary dead-end.
There is also an issue of the HP Journal discussing the Integral PC.
The Personal Computer Users Catalog
dated 2/1983 describes accessories and consumables for the various
personal computers and calculators sold by HP.
